HACKING THE PRESIDENT?:

I've been trying throughout the day to see the new Bush campaign ad, "Risk", but georgewbush.com has been unavailable.

I would guess the hacktivists have stepped up the denial of service attacks they began at the Republican National Convention, but I haven't seen an attack reported. Can anyone else get through?

UPDATE: Site is now available.

I'm having the same problems. Fortunately, 72hour.com is still up, as is GOP.com. And if the ad you are looking for is "Risky," then it's available at the latter.

I very much hope that the R's begin making hay out of this sort of thing. It would make for a very good last-week-of-October attack ad.

Thanks, Timothy.

I can get through to the main site, but not to that particular video. It's acting more like it's in help-my-server-can't-take-all-this-traffic mode, not like it's been hacked.

As of 5:53 EST, the site appears to be up again, but running slowly. And there are apparently two different ads--the RNC ad "Risky" and the Bush ad "Risk," to be followed, no doubt, by "Risked," "Rysk," and "Riskish."

The whole georgewbush.com site was unavailable at least from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Hope it stays up. DOS attacks are no way to contest an election!
